This improved lane configuration, an incidental benefit of paving Oak Park, will produce improved traffic flow and reduce the incidence of vehicular collisions due to congestion. Oak Park residents are expected to support the project because improved traffic flow will also reduce CO levels in areas near the widened expressway.
